I am a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (110790) and a Registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (3235). I earned my Bachelor Degree in Psychology at Chapman University and my Master of Arts Degree in Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling at Brandman University. I am also a Certified Life and Wellness Coach.
I have a private practice in Murrieta where I see individuals, couples and families and also run group therapy sessions. Prior to private practice, I worked in the Murrieta Valley Unified School District as a school-based therapist, focusing primarily on the high school population providing students support services to bridge them through crisis and emotional difficulties.
The individuals I work with experience challenges with depression, anxiety, suicide ideation, trauma, adjustment issues, gender identity issues, low self-esteem and self-injurious behaviors. I also facilitate an Empowered Survivors Group for women impacted by childhood sexual trauma as well as Strategic Parent Training classes to assist parents with creating better communication patterns and relationships with their children. My modalities include person-centered, solution-focused, family systems, CBT and DBT with an emphasis on mindfulness skill building.
I am the founder of Women Empowered Rock (WE Rock) a company that provides workshops and seminars targeting women’s issues that greatly impact their self-esteem by using motivation and empowerment to affect lasting change.
Life presents many challenges and difficult transitions that require tools to successfully maneuver. I provide a safe and non-judgmental space to assist in developing these necessary tools. I believe it is essential to empower others to work towards their dreams, their visions and the goals they hold dear by giving them new and more constructive ways of viewing themselves.
